Adding and Managing Slides
- Adding a New Slide: Go to Insert > Slide or right-click on a slide in the Slides Pane and select 'New Slide'. You can also use the toolbar icon.
- Duplicating a Slide: Right-click on a slide in the Slides Pane and choose 'Duplicate Slide'. This is useful for creating slides with similar content or layout.
- Deleting a Slide: Select the slide in the Slides Pane and press the Delete key, or right-click and choose 'Delete Slide'.
- Reordering Slides: Click and drag slides in the Slides Pane to change their sequence in the presentation.
Saving Your Presentation
Saving your work regularly is vital to prevent data loss. Use File > Save (Ctrl+S) to save changes to an existing file, or File > Save As to save a new file or save an existing one with a different name or format.
- Default Format: LibreOffice Impress saves files as .odp (OpenDocument Presentation).
- Other Formats: You can save presentations in various formats, including .ppt/.pptx (Microsoft PowerPoint), .pdf (Portable Document Format for easy sharing), and image formats for individual slides.
