Slide Transitions

Slide transitions are visual effects that occur when you move from one slide to the next during a presentation. They add flair and can make the flow smoother.

• Applying Transitions: Select a slide in the Slides Pane. In the Sidebar, go to 'Slide Transition' and choose an effect (e.g., Fade, Wipe, Push). You can also set the speed and sound.
• Preview: Click the 'Play' button in the transition pane to see a preview of the effect.
• Apply to All: You can apply the same transition to all slides or set different transitions for individual slides.

Object Animations

Object animations are visual effects applied to individual text boxes, images, or shapes on a slide. They control how objects appear, disappear, or move on a slide.

• Applying Animations: Select an object on your slide. In the Sidebar, go to 'Animation' and click 'Add Effect'. Choose an entrance, emphasis, exit, or motion path effect.
• Timing: You can set the start (on click, with previous, after previous) and duration of animations.

Running a Slide Show

After creating your presentation, you'll need to run it as a slide show to present it to an audience.

• Start from Beginning: Press F5 (or Slide Show > Start from First Slide).
• Start from Current Slide: Press Shift + F5 (or Slide Show > Start from Current Slide).
• Navigation: Use arrow keys, spacebar, or mouse clicks to advance slides. Press Esc to end the show.

Printing Handouts

Handouts are printed versions of your slides, often with multiple slides per page, which can be given to the audience for notes or reference.

• Printing Options: Go to File > Print. In the print dialog, under 'Print Range and Content', select 'Handouts' and specify the number of slides per page. You can also choose to print 'Notes' pages.
